In “Look Me in the Eye,” Robison tells the story of his life with Asperger’s syndrome and how it has affected him. He talks about how he was able to find success in his career as an engineer despite his difficulties with communication. Robison’s book, Look Me in the Eye, is the story of his struggle to find a place in the world as a man with Asperger’s Syndrome.
He dropped out of high school and became a self-taught engineer, eventually creating the fire-breathing guitars for the band KISS. Robison tells the story of his life with Asperger’s Syndrome, from his early childhood to his adulthood. He details the challenges he faced and how he coped with them, as well as his relationships with his family, friends, and the famous rock band KISS.
